Could anybody help me trace a person called William Jones, A Trinity House Pilot on the Menai Straits appointed as such in 1833. He lived in the Pilot's house on Upper Garth Road. Mentioned in the Book "Bangor Port of Beaumaris" by Mervyn Ellis Williams. He was my grand father. Buried in Glanadda and died in 1914 aged 82 J. Bryan Jones ___________________________________________________________________ There is something wrong with your dates .. if William died in 1914 aged 82 then he was born in 1832. Therefore very unlikely to have been appointed a pilot at the age of 2. Can you check your dates please?
