Can someone give me an idea of where my Great Great Grandfather James Evans might be buried? He lived in "Pantyronen" next to the Workhouse just outside Newcastle Emlyn from at least 1851 until his death on 15th May 1882.

He married a Mary ?? in 1848 and they had two sons David and Jonah (my Great Grandfather). Mary died some time before 1860 and James married again in 1862 to another Mary, Mary Richards from Troedyraur. James and Mary (No. 2) had 9 children (7 girls and 2 boys).

James died in 1882 (see above) while Mary lived until at least 1911 still at "Pantyronen".

Although I have plenty of information about the family and their movements around Newcastle Emlyn, I do not know where James or his two wives are buried.

James Evans is the uncle of Rev Herber Evans so it may be that the whole family were non conformists (probably congregationalists).

Thanks in anticipation.

Genuki has a list of parish churches and cemetaries for the Newcasle Emlyn area of Carmarthenshire (link below)

and there is a family tree on Ancestry that has James in it
